Our Space Our Future – Inclusive STEM Education

In this video, Explorer Dome brings together expert educators and researchers to discuss how to bridge the gap between a student's interest in space and science subjects to a belief that a career in these industies is an achevable and worthwhile goal. And how to promote these subjects in an inclusive way.

45–55-minute interactive show that features 6 space industry role models that demonstrate the breadth of their careers and the diversity of people doing them. The space industry is for everyone! Science Made Simple presents the show, students watch, consider questions, and help with demonstrations. A recording of this show is available below, and schools and other education organsations can replicate this experience for their chosen audeinces.

Inspired teachers inspire students! Our Space Our Future wants to share the endless possibilities that a career in the space sector can offer. To inspire the next generation of engineers, astronomers, mathematicians… today’s pupils are tomorrow’s trailblazers! But as an individual organisation, we can only reach so many. This teacher training session hosted by Explorer Dome shares the experiences of STEM teachers and educators, sharing best practices, resources and techniques, as well as hearing from experts in the field of science education research.

Join the Science Made Simple team as they introduce why the space industry is so important for all of us, in this 36 minute video for 11-14-year-olds. This is followed up with a 15-minute Question and Answer session to understand which elements of the show each student enjoyed most and what the students think are the most important topics for future research?
